“That’s what I like about your generation. You guys aren’t afraid to wear really stupid things.” — Caitlin’s dad.
Okay, I know I made fun of faux-fur hats when I was in New York; I saw them everywhere, and they look ugly and retarded. That being said, now that I’m back in San Francisco, and no one wears fur hats, all the sudden, I MUST have one. I mean, I know it rarely gets cold enough even to see your breath here (actually, more the reason to want one), but mark my words, faux-fur hat is going to be my first “WTF, you’re an idiot. You know you can’t buy groceries this week now, right?” purchase of 2010.

Quite A Hat (10-27-09)
A guy who posts his drawings of people in the subway. I want one of me! Ha. Yeah, I definitely took a good 5 minute detour to look around and post this, which, at 12:27am is generous. Love this stuff, it’s so New York. Maybe I’ll buy some…maybe.

Posted in advertising, New York City with tags advertising, Billboards, Color me confused, fun fun sexy time, intersection of intrigue and confusion, sex, Well now I want some sex on October 13, 2009 by melsanieCan you see this? This is a billboard across from my office in SoHo/TriBeCa on Varick and Canal. If you squint you can see it’s an unmade bed and it looks like it has just been sexed in. The thing is, it’s been this way for about two weeks now and nothing else has changed–nothing has been added to it, no billboards around it have mentioned this boom boom bed, nothing. So NOW, I am intrigued. What is this billboard? What is it advertising? Sheets? A hotel? A bed? A daytime affair service? Mama needs some answers.
